Our family business has been involved with the production of church stewardship envelopes from their first introduction into the UK in the 1950s by the trailblazing American fund-raiser Colonel Louis G.Wells.

As engineers then, we were commissioned by the Wells organisation to provide service and maintenance to its envelope printing machines imported from
the USA.

We even wrote the first service manual for these specialist machines, capable of changing the date for every envelope printed.

The Wells organisation introduced the concept of church stewardship via envelopes to churches and cathedrals across the UK, most of whom continue to benefit from envelope schemes today.

In 1976, we created our own range of products, realising a need among churches and charities for a simple and uncomplicated range of high quality products at affordable prices.

At 115mm x 75mm, our regular envelopes are large enough to take a banknote folded once. Our larger Gift Aid donation envelope, size 140mm x 75mm, has ample space for containing the most generous donations.

We have built our growth on this simple formula of quality and value. As well as churches and cathedrals Europe-wide, Envelope Systems now counts many of the UK's leading charities among its customers.
